Michael is a Counsel & Attorney – at- Law who was called to the Bar of England and Wales and the Bahamas Bar. He is competent in matters of criminal & civil law with specialisms in Advance Criminal & Civil Litigation together with Family Law. He holds a Doctorate in Justice and Society Issues from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey. He is a graduate of Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica, Andrews University, Wolverhampton University and University of London at City. He is a member of the honorable society of the Middle Temple, London, England.
Dr. Toote, appointed by the Prime Minister, served as a member of the Prison Reform Commission and Legislative Council. Currently, he is Chairman of the Government’s vitally important Advisory Board on Public Records which has oversight for management and storage
of all Government records.
Dr Toote, an ordained pastor of 40 years, is a certified Grief counselor, married to Brenda, the love of his life, blessed with four adult children.
